WE ARE BACK!!
Where it all began….
The Oregon Coast inadvertently became our first ever pop-up lodge location. We’re heading back to our favorite Pacific Northwest destination in 2027 for another epic steelhead adventure!
Fly into Portland International Airport and our crew will be there to shuttle you to the lodge.
The drive over to the lodge showcases this region at its finest. Each year, we choose a location that affords our anglers access to the area’s best rivers and streams. Once at the lodge, our on-site Creel Crew will pull out all the stops. Your private Creel Chef starts with a spread of appetizers highlighting our favorite local ingredients. We’ll share your room assignments and details on the upcoming fishing days. You’ll settle in, pour yourself a cocktail and sit down with the group for a family-style dinner.
Our target species is winter ocean run steelhead. The lodge is located in picturesque Manzanita, providing countless nearby options for our clients to get swinging for steelhead, as close to the ocean as possible.
The expansive, ocean-front lodge features a game room, 6 full bathrooms, and comfortable double guest rooms. Enjoy your first cup of coffee in front of the fireplace. Fall asleep to the lull of the ocean. Relax into dinner after each day of fishing on the deck, with nothing between you and the edge of the world.
A limited number of single rooms will be available for an additional fee (first come, first serve).
Each day, our talented team of guides will pick the best spots to fish based on conditions and current river reports. The steelhead game is all about being in the right place at the right time… You are already halfway there just being on the Oregon coast!!

Our Creel Chef highlights local products in every meal. This area of Oregon has no shortage of locally grown and crafted supplies. We work with our longtime friend Jimmy and his team of butchers at Revel Meats in Canby to source our proteins from local, small farms. We meet friends and grab oysters, clams and other ocean treats in Netarts Bay. We venture about while you’re fishing, making new connections that get us even more excited for our yearly visit to the Pacific Northwest. The sheer abundance of local, quality producers in this region entices our chef friends who look forward to Travel Creel’s yearly return. Expect several to pop by for a visit and to lend a hand with a meal, or two, or three….!
Our final night at the lodge includes and whole-crew BBQ. Our guide team (and sometimes they bring their families along!), along with other local partners that we have purchased goods from throughout the trip, are all invited to the lodge for our final night BBQ. It’s an epic send-off where you have an opportunity to hang out with our dedicated guide team off the water. Maybe even put them onto a cocktail or two….
