LOCATION &TRAVEL INFO
-
Remember that this trip offers unique payment terms due to the seasonality of the location.
Be sure to book a changeable or refundable ticket, or book using a credit card that offers trip interruption coverage, or get covered with travel insurance.
We highly recommend travel insurance to all our anglers, on all our trips. If you would like recommendations for travel insurance, please reach out to Samantha.
Make sure that you book a flight to arrive in the designated window provided for pick-up and drop-off.
Flights booked outside the required window that result in additional shuttle runs WILL result in a fee of at least $50/angler each way.
We work hard to keep the cost as low as possible for each of our guests. We price our trips based off the cost of a shuttle run during a specific window out of consideration for everyone and staff availability.
If you have any questions about flights, issues with booking during the target windows or other questions about getting to Oregon, please reach out to Samantha.
DRIVING?
We will provide the address of the lodge prior to your arrival via email and text.
We welcome you to arrive at the lodge anytime after 3 pm on the day of the start of your trip.
Please send Samantha your travel plans once you have them set.
-
Once at the lodge, you will take a tour and settle into your room.
Appetizers will start around 6 pm with dinner to follow. After dinner, we go over what you can expect for the week: Fishing partners, guide assignments, weather, fish stories and of course answer any questions the group may have.
Morning comes early so be sure to get some rest
-
A grab and go breakfast will be prepared on the morning of departure.
We will run shuttles based on when you need to leave - Please book flights from PDX as close to noon as possible.
If you have made other arrangements, please let us know prior to the trip.
Please practice your casting
before you get to Oregon!
Being able to cast, mend, stack and feed line when indicator fishing all increase your chances at finding a fish. Being able to push your indicator tight to the bank or into a good seam where the guide wants it is a crucial part to this style of fishing… You are on a team with your guide, if you listen and play your cards right you have a better chance of being rewarded! You will be fishing out of rafts, which means, NO STUDS IN YOUR WADING BOOTS.
-
You will be fishing with us for 4 days.
There are several “daily” options: 1 day, 3 day, 7 day
The most cost-effective way for a “Non-Oregon-Resident” is to purchase a 1 day and a 3 day license for 4 days of fishing.
These daily licenses include the combined angling tag for Oregon, no further license is necessary.
If you choose instead to purchase an annual license you will need to purchase a “combined angling tag”.
All of the licensing is done online or with the Oregon Fish and Wildlife app.
Here is a link to the website: https://odfw.huntfishoregon.com/login
You will need to create an account in order to purchase a license.
