Come along with the Travel Creel Crew to Roatan, Honduras!

We have teamed up with the folks from Forktail Lodge. A new, intimate lodge located on the quiet, east side of Roatan Island in Honduras. The waters around the lodge feature world-class saltwater flats fishing. Permit, bonefish and tarpon are all regular targets. The lodge is situated on the waterfront… relax in the hammock, take a swim.. Our team will be there to take care of all of the hospitality. When you are ready to fish… the head guide Joevy and the rest of the Forktail staff will get you tuned in to this amazing fishery. Permit are often sighted from the boat, then “spot and stalked” on foot. Bonefish are plentiful and tarpon can range in size upwards of 60lbs! Roatan also offers amazing experiences for families. From the lodge, you can hop on a kayak or snorkel the reef right in the front yard.. In town there are places you can hang out with exotic animals and even hold sloths… SLOTHS!! Chef Joshua recently visited with his family and they had an amazing time! The lodge can accommodate up to 4 guest at a time.

Typical Day in Honduras:

6:30 am- Wake to the smell of fresh coffee being brewed. The Creel Crew will serve a delicious breakfast to get you going.

7:30 am- Layer on that sun protection and get ready for the day! Guides will pick you up from the dock in front of the lodge

8:00 am- FISH!! Search the flats for pushes, tails and nervous water. Be on your A game!!

4:00 pm- Head back to the lodge, wash your gear and get freshened up for dinner.

5:30pm- Appetizers and dinner is served. The lodge property has plenty of places for you to relax as the night sets in.

The Travel Creel Crew will be at Forktail with you for your stay! Our crew of private chefs will be taking care of all of your meals. Local seafood is often featured and Chef Joshua is known for sneaking tasty treats past customs! Kick your feet up and enjoy your time on the island!
